The Patio

OK, for the record, I thought I already posted this.  The day I tried, I wasn't really into writing so I stopped and decided to come back.  I didn't.  Here goes...

The patio at this house has been a great gathering place for friends, family and a lot of meat.

Yes, I cook a lot out here...

.There is Bar B Q

There is pizza.
There is chicken.and even doughnuts.

I spend a lot of time out here with the boys and with friends...
It has been so hot lately that I am looking forward to the cooler weather coming.

I don't do selfies.

The boys have their project out there and so do I

This is a homemade survival candle the boys make our of cardboard, crayons and a can.  I think the fire lasted longer than my grill.

Pizza oven.

Cooler

This is one of my most prize possessions.  It is a mailbox post that was outside Mamma's and Granddaddy's house.  Someone made it for them and the N was wrong from one way and the E was wrong from the other.  I love having this from my childhood, and I am very happy that Catherin found a perfect place to display it.  As a matter of fact, she has made the patio what it is.  She bought me the furniture that is out there for my birthday, and now we use that space when ever we can.

Here is to Fall...a time we can spend more time outside.

Patio life...

One of the major perks of this apartment was the fact that it had an outdoor space. Something I wasn't really thinking we'd be fortunate enough to have at first. When we moved in it was cold and barren... But it started warming up a couple of months after moving in and Tina picked out some patio furniture.

Then we really started to enjoy the space. Happy hours and outdoor eating.

Then mama got us the rug that really tied the patio together (Big Lebowski reference :)

Now that we had the furniture it needed some life (and a way to block Benny from going under to the neighbors side - which he did on one of our first times out there.) So we got some small pepper plants, mint, basil, lavender. And Tina went to town with a couple of green thumbs she didn't know she had.

We've had a ton of good peppers all summer long.

She makes fun of me spying out here.

But she does it too :)

The views are amazing.

Hanging out with friends is cool too.

Even Benny gets to have friends over.

He likes the balcony more than we do.
